William Curtis

William Curtis was first introduced to the idea of philanthropy as a college student working in student affairs while attending Appalachian State University. In addition to a psychology degree, William gained a lifelong love for health care philanthropy during his time working at Blackbaud the world’s leading not-for-profit software company.

Over 10 years later, William serves as the Technology and Innovation of Philanthropy for CommonSpirit Health, responsible for supporting philanthropic investments for CommonSpirit Health national initiatives. Additionally, William leads efforts to support the growth of philanthropy across CommonSpirit Health, the nation’s largest nonprofit health system, which spans 21+ states and 80+ foundations. CommonSpirit Health is accessible to nearly one in every four United States residents. Most recently, William served as the Director of Technology and Innovation for Dignity Health

William came from Blackbaud, where he was an enterprise solutions consultant, implementing strategic design guidance for Blackbaud CRM. He has extensive knowledge of requirement gathering and analysis, business process optimization, software design, system validation, and operation maintenance support for all aspects of a large scale technology implementation.

William and his wife, Rebecca reside in Redwood City, CA, with their two dogs Lily and Stella.
