Rocío Corona is a senior data analyst for CommonSpirit Health’s philanthropy team. She has served the ministry since 2017 and joined the national team in 2018. In her role she works closely with local fundraising entities to manage, support and improve philanthropy operations.
Early in her career Rocío made the decision to work in the nonprofit and public service sector, with the hope that with her studies and technical skills she could make a positive impact. Her work began with local and state level education advocacy efforts and then moved into the field of international humanitarian response work. These two experiences as a program specialist and business analyst brought her to marry her passions for health and operations with work that strives to meet the needs of our most vulnerable communities.
Rocío received her master’s degree in public administration with a specialty in international management from Middlebury College, Monterey Institute of International Studies and her bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara, in global international studies, Spanish and Chicano/a studies.
