Claudia Lanuza is the Executive Assistant and Foundation Coordinator at CHI Health Schuyler. She has been with CHI Health since her relocation to Nebraska in 2011. She first joined CHI Health as the Language Access lead as she had experience as a simultaneous interpreter and translator. In this role, she served as a liaison between patients, community members, physicians and hospital staff - advocating for the immigrant population, health equity, and supporting patients and families as they experience some of the most vulnerable and challenging moments in their lives.
In 2016, Claudia transitioned to her current position, which allowed her experience and networking to assist in promoting the mission of our rural critical access hospital. Claudia is extremely mission-driven, and has been successful in fundraising as well as in developing strategic partnerships in the community, and leading multiple workgroups in diverse health improvement plans.
Claudia received her bachelor’s in International Commerce from Universidad Mondragon-UCO. She is also certified with the National Council of Behavioral Health as an instructor of Adult Mental Health First Aid. Claudia is a current member of CHI Health HOLA (Hispanic Outreach and Leadership Affinity) Group, and Coalition Leader for the Colfax County Behavioral Health Coalition. She is an active volunteer in the community serving as a Board Member for Schuyler Economic Development, Colfax County Food Pantry, and Colfax Theater. Claudia was a founding member of Comité Latino de Schuyler, and is recently in the inaugural class of Leading Locally-Schuyler Leadership. In 2020, Claudia was the recipient of the Nebraska Hospitals Association’s The Caring Kind award.
