Markham Miller serves as Chief Philanthropy Officer of St. Mary’s Medical Center Foundation in San Francisco, California. A veteran philanthropy professional with almost 22 years working with and for Dignity Health, Markham spent the last four as Senior Director of St. Mary’s Foundation, and the previous 15 years as Vice President of the Saint Francis Foundation. A graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Markham has been dedicated to philanthropy and the art and science of nonprofit management for 35 years.

Burnishing his leadership skills has been important in Markham’s professional development, and, in 2019, he completed the CommonSpirit Health Emerging Leaders Cohort.
As dedicated as Markham is to his work, his avocations are eclectic and interesting. Markham is an avid runner and has completed 34 marathons – including 6 Boston Marathons.
