Lexie Stetson-Lee

As senior philanthropy officer, Lexie Stetson-Lee works with donors, friends and those working in and for Centura- Mercy Hospital to promote their philanthropic objectives. Lexie’s work enables individuals to achieve their philanthropic goals while allowing Mercy Hospital to secure gifts that create impact in the areas of clinical excellence, education and prevention, and community care. In 2021, Lexie facilitated $1.9 million in disbursements back to Mercy Hospital’s areas of greatest need. Since starting with Mercy Hospital Foundation in 2020, Lexie has increased the number of donors to the organization by 65%. Her work has wholly funded two new hospital programs in food security and music therapy, and has doubled philanthropic distributions to patient and employee financial assistance.

Lexie has more than 15 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, working in education, operations, development, and executive leadership. She has a broad scope of experience in philanthropy, STEM programming, and community relations. Lexie has helped to secure transformational gifts for small nonprofits, has led two nonprofit mergers, and engineered a financial turnaround at an organization with a significant structural deficit. Lexie received her Master of Science from the University of Wisconsin with a focus on policy and nonprofit leadership. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Religious Studies from Kenyon College in Ohio. She is also an active volunteer, serving on nonprofit boards, City boards and hiring committees, and contributing to local elementary and preschool initiatives. Stetson-Lee’s career commitment to giving began with a family ethic of service—her parents set a precedent of giving through healthcare foundations in Ohio. When not at work Lexie enjoys backcountry skiing and time with her husband, two children, and their border collie, Lego.
