Donna Budak
Texas Division
Donna Budak serves as Division Vice President of Philanthropy for CommonSpirit Health, St. Luke’s Foundation.
Ms. Budak's health care fundraising experience spans over 20 years and includes key leadership positions for the organizations with which she has been associated. Working in both adult and pediatric fundraising, her roles encompass health care philanthropy executive leadership, governance and all facets of fundraising.
Prior to joining CommonSpirit, Ms. Budak worked at Ascension Illinois as Vice President Foundation Service Line and Strategy. In this role she was responsible for major gift fundraising including a successful capital campaign, initiating a grateful patient program, and private and government grants. Ms. Budak worked at the Seton Foundations, as the Chief Strategy Officer and Vice President/Executive Director for The Seton Fund and Seton Williamson Foundation, and was the Director of Campaigns for The Seton Fund. This was preceded by four years with Dell Children’s Foundation where she was Director of Major Gifts and Director of Planned Giving.
Ms. Budak is a graduate of Thomas Jefferson University where she studied cytopathology and received her master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Indiana Wesleyan University. She holds both the FAHP and CFRE designations. Donna is Co-Chair for AHP’s Madison Institute and Dean for the Elements of Major Gifts track. Additionally she served as Chair for both AHP’s International Conference and Leading Forward. Ms. Budak was also a board member with the Round Rock Chamber of Commerce, the YMCA and the Shade Project.
Her early fundraising career included working as development director in both an arts organization and in private school education.
