Delaine Thiel, CFRE
CHI Saint Joseph Health Foundations
Delaine Thiel, CFRE serves as Vice President of Philanthropy representing five foundations in Kentucky: Flaget Memorial, Saint Joseph Berea, Saint Joseph London, and Saint Joseph Mount Sterling and Saint Joseph Hospital Foundations.
Overseeing comprehensive fund development and fiduciary management of a $20M annual portfolio including endowments, scholarship programs, federal, and state and community grants. Supporting 135 care sites her team also manages Volunteer Services, donor communications and annual fund solicitation for multiple service line sites across Kentucky.
Delaine spent her early career working in advertising for Gannett news media. She worked as a marketing and event consultant before answering the call in philanthropy. She successfully completed a $10M Capital Campaign for Lexington Catholic’s Science and High Marks Center and has served numerous non-profit organizations including CASA, AFP, Junior League International and the YMCA; leading strategic planning initiatives and a comprehensive diversity and equity implementation for the Diocese of Lexington.
A graduate of the University of Kentucky, Delaine and her husband Chris live in Lexington and enjoy travel and spending time with their three daughters and new son-in-law.
She is proud to represent the work of CommonSpirit in organizational efforts to address critical social and health equity issues facing our country.
