Get to know: Anil Sreeramsetty
We are pleased to introduce you to Anil (pictured with his family), a senior integration engineer with CommonSpirit Health’s Information Technology team. Anil works in the Enterprise Integration Applications department and has more than eight years of service to our ministry.
How do you see your work within CommonSpirit helping to fulfill the organization’s mission and vision?
With my role in IT, my work helps to support and facilitate the information and systems that drive patient care across our entire health care system.
Why do you give?
I grew up in India and it’s one of the places where poverty is high. When I was a kid my parents participated in a lot of charity work and donated to the poor. They would donate clothing and rice and they even provided education expenses to poor merit students. They also donated medical equipment to government hospitals. With the help of the Lions Club, they hosted medical camps such as eye and heart wellness. I was inspired by that and my father always taught me to do charity/donate whatever I can. This has been strongly rooted in my mind.
What does gratitude mean to you? Does it play a role in why you give?
Yes, I am thankful for what I have and it allows me to show appreciation and return the kindness that I’ve been shown.
Do you have a specific area (program, service or fund) at CommonSpirit that you like to direct your giving toward?
I usually donate to foundations where they provide opportunities to those in need. Earlier this year I gave to the COVID-19 Response Fund because “we are all together in it!”
What’s your fondest memory of working for CommonSpirit?
Many of the team members I work with are virtual/remote employees. During the electronic health records Go-Lives I used to travel to the Phoenix System office to support implementations. It was a great memory meeting team members and working with them.
What’s one fun fact others might not know about you?
I enjoy long scenic drives with friends and family, hiking trails with friends and bike rides with my kids.
