Paul R. Ross to serve as Vice President, Philanthropy, Mountain Region 


Chicago, Ill. (July 29, 2024) – Paul R. Ross has been named Vice President, Philanthropy for the Mountain Region, starting August 19, 2024. Paul will be responsible for the strategic, fundraising and operational leadership for the local foundations across Colorado, Kansas, and Utah.

Paul will report directly to the national Executive Vice President for Philanthropy, Nancy Bussani, and will serve as a member of the system-wide Philanthropy Leadership Council. He will also have a dotted reporting line to Mountain Region president, Andrew Gaasch, and will serve as a member of the region’s executive leadership team.

Paul has led philanthropy efforts for a wide variety of organizations for the last 23 years. Most recently, he was a Region Vice President for SSM Health based in St. Louis, MO. Paul oversaw foundations across the St. Louis Metro as well as in mid-Missouri and Southern Illinois.

Prior to SSM Health, Paul held a leadership and campaign position with the University of Missouri Health Sciences, where he was responsible for $500 million of the University’s $1.3 billion campaign. He also served as a Director of Major and Planned Gifts for the University of Wisconsin, a Senior Director for Major Gifts at the University of Florida where he led a $50 million campaign, and was a Principal Gifts Officer for Mayo Clinic during its comprehensive $1.25 billion campaign. Paul has also held positions with children’s hospitals as well as large national non-profit organizations.
