Clinic by the Bay

Janet Reilly is the co-founder and board president of Clinic by the Bay, a free, volunteer-powered health clinic for the working uninsured in San Francisco and San Mateo Counties. The clinic was founded in 2010 and recently completed renovation on their new facility in the old Alemany Emergency Hospital site.

In 2019 Governor Gavin Newsom appointed Ms. Reilly to an 8-year term to the University of California Board of Regents where she is currently serving as Chair.

Ms. Reilly served on the Presidio Trust Board from 2015 to 2018, for which she was appointed by President Barack Obama. Before joining the Presidio Trust, Ms. Reilly was a member of the Golden Gate Bridge, Highway, and Transportation District Board of Directors from 2003 to 2015 and served as Board president from 2010 to 2012.
Ms. Reilly was a former executive producer and on-air television host for NBC Bay Area – KNTV. She currently serves on the board of the Advisory Board for the Leo T. McCarthy Center for Public Service and the Common Good at USF.

Ms. Reilly and her husband own the San Francisco Examiner and the Nob Hill Gazette, where she writes a monthly interview column featuring some of the most notable people in the Bay Area.

Ms. Reilly earned a B.A. from UCLA and a Master of Science degree in journalism from the Northwestern University Medill School of Journalism.

She lives in San Francisco with her husband, Clint, and they have two daughters.
