Kimberly Parker

Kimberly Parker, CFRE, joined Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital (SNMH) Foundation in 2001 and has served as the Executive Director since 2005. With 37 years of philanthropic experience, Parker has successfully developed comprehensive fundraising strategies that have raised tens of millions of dollars. Parker has led numerous fundraising campaigns including funding for an outpatient center, Imaging for Life campaign and a recent transformation of the hospital’s emergency department. During her tenure, she has successfully secured federal appropriations four times.

Parker is a public speaker on many local healthcare topics. She has a radio show, Your Health, which airs monthly. She oversees Healthy Tuesday, a full page on the hospital’s health care services in The Union newspaper, writes two columns a week for the paper and was a regular commentator on Nevada County Now, a streaming program under Nevada County Media.

Parker is a member of the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy and California Capital’s Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) where she served in the past on the board and as President. Professionally, she was honored as their Fundraising Executive of the Year in 2003. She served six years on the Dignity Health Philanthropy Summit planning committee and was the Summit chair in 2017. Parker has been a CFRE (certified fundraising executive) for over 33 years. She believes strongly in the strength of the nonprofit community and has volunteered thousands of hours over the years teaching workshops, mentoring others, facilitating retreats, and more.

In addition to her professional role, Parker is active in the community. Service minded, she is currently sitting as a community member for Nevada Union Joint School District LCAP strategic planning process. She is also a past board chair and current executive committee member for the Economic Resource Council of Nevada County. She developed and led the curriculum for the first Center for Nonprofit Leadership Executive Director Academy with a second program launching this spring. She is a current member of the Rotary Club of Grass Valley South.
