CommonSpirit Health Foundation welcomes renowned Silicon Valley investor Lu Zhang to its Board of Directors
CHICAGO, Ill (January 15, 2025) – CommonSpirit Health Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of Lu Zhang, founder and managing partner of Fusion Fund, to its Board of Directors. Lu brings a wealth of experience in technology commercialization, venture capital and healthcare innovation, making her a valuable addition to the foundation's leadership.

Lu is a highly accomplished Silicon Valley investor and serial entrepreneur with a strong technical background and deep expertise in AI in healthcare, Enterprise AI/Networks, Edge Computing, and Data Privacy. A Stanford Engineering alum, she founded Fusion Fund in 2015 after a successful career as a materials science researcher and entrepreneur, including the founding and sale of a medical device company at the age of 21.
Lu’s impressive accolades include recognition as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum, a Silicon Valley Woman of Influence, and a featured honoree on Forbes 30 Under 30 and Town & Country's 50 Modern Swans. She is a frequent speaker at leading tech conferences and a guest lecturer at Stanford University.
