CommonSpirit Health once again named "High Performer" by the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy

Chicago, Ill. (October 7, 2024) – For the ninth-consecutive year, CommonSpirit Health has again been ranked among the top high-performing health care fundraisers in North America by the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy (AHP).

Nancy Bussani, Executive Vice President and Chief Philanthropy Officer and President of CommonSpirit Health Foundation, said, “This recognition is a testament to philanthropic individuals and organizations who walk alongside our healing ministry to make an impact in the communities we serve. Being recognized as a leader in our industry is a profound honor and a reminder of the remarkable things that happen when inspired generosity aligns with our mission.”

This recognition is based on data compiled in AHP’s most recent Report on Giving and celebrates the combined performance of CommonSpirit’s 80-plus fundraising entities across its multi-state ministry as well as the national work of CommonSpirit Health Foundation.

AHP High Performer recognition CommonSpirit was recognized by AHP as a “High Performer: Overall” and as a “High Performer: Health System.” Published annually for more than 35 years, AHP’s Report on Giving summarizes revenue and expense information contributed by AHP members for each fiscal year. This year’s report (representing the most recently submitted fiscal data) included participation from organizations across the U.S. and Canada. CommonSpirit’s philanthropy ministry has been consistently recognized among the industry’s high performers since 2016, when AHP first ranked then-Dignity Health among the top high-performing health care fundraisers in North America.

“Overall High Performer” status reflects AHP’s criteria for the top 25 percent in net production revenue across all respondents in the Report on Giving. “Health System” category high performers are those in the top 25 percent in net fundraising revenue among participating health systems.
