Laura Cook felt a call to philanthropy after building a lucrative career with a national wireless communications corporation for more than two decades. She wanted to make a difference in her community and in 2013 accepted the opportunity to join the CHI St. Vincent executive leadership team.

Laura serves as the senior vice president for Marketing and Development in Arkansas, responsible for supporting philanthropic investments for CHI St. Vincent initiatives across four hospitals, 70 primary and specialty clinics, and three community clinics serving the poor and vulnerable population.

With a BSBA degree in Finance and a Master’s degree in Accounting from the University of Arkansas, Laura’s insight into financial planning and goal-setting has played a major role in her team securing more than $4 million for a significant strategic project. These funds were raised to support the Arkansas Neuroscience Institute Research and Education Center that is adjacent to the CHI St. Vincent North campus. The Center opened in April 2019.

During Laura’s early career, she also worked as a CPA for Price Waterhouse before joining Alltel Wireless, headquartered in Little Rock, where she worked for nearly two decades before retiring in 2011. While at Alltel, Laura held positions including Vice President and General Manager, Assistant Treasurer, Vice President of Product Marketing and Senior Vice President Marketing & Communications.
